Goat and Goat Milk Products Update

In the Barn:

We have had a very successful kidding season! With 3 boys and 3 girls born, we have our hands full with little ones running around the barn! Before you read on, if you haven’t already, click the “meet the goats” link so you will know who is who. Here are the birthdays, names, and moms of each new baby!

On February 2nd around 4 PM, Oats had a boy first then a girl. The boy is Spice and the girl is Nutmeg! They are growing so fast!

On February 9th around 8:30 PM, Minaj had a boy. His name is Kobe in memory of the G.O.A.T., Kobe Bryant.

On February 14th around 1:00 PM, Poppy had a boy first then a girl. Our Valentine’s Day babies! The boy is named Thorn and the girl is named Rose.

Lastly, on February 16th, around 5 PM, Kisses had a baby girl. Her name is Amora.

Poppy’s babies gave us a scare because they were born on a very cold day, then Poppy did not want to claim them. She claimed them after a few days of having to keep them separated by a gate and they are thriving now. And if you remember, Kisses has CAE (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis) which is passed through milk, so sweet Amora is bottle fed. Other than that, things have been smooth sailing! (So far.)

Goat Milk Products Update:

Yes! Babies are here which means milk is here, which means soaps! But I have a surprise!! I am going to be trying goat milk lotions this year too! If you have a certain scent that you would like to request for me to make in either a soap or lotion (or both), comment on this post! I would love to hear your feedback. I was thinking a floral scent and maybe cherry almond. Let me know what your thoughts are. Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Much love,

Renora

In the office, we have come up with a citrus or lemon scent and more lavender! Also, a rose or peony.
